MUSICSPONGE DESCRIPTION
MusicSponge.com is not another fan building peer-to-peer site. Our goal is to offer a complete video-oriented professional music marketing and industry-preferred promotional package. The concept was conceived and developed by working music professionals FOR music professionals and artists at all levels: musicians, management, labels, promoters, talent buyers, venues, engineers, lighting crews and all the way to graphic designers, t-shirt manufacturers, rental companies...well, the list goes on and on.
Through years of firsthand on-the-road behind-the-scenes working knowledge, we are also equally dedicated to arming independent artists with the necessary tools to professionally advance a performance anywhere in the world. No more outdated emails or faxes or time wasted on the phone trying to figure out who has the very latest copy of your technical rider, input list and/or stage plot.
MUSICSPONGE MISSION STATEMENT
The MusicSponge mission is simple - for every artist with a record deal, there are a thousand talented artists chasing that dream and a million new music fans who will never get to hear or see their music. We're changing all that - bringing these artists and fans together, getting the music out and giving the music industry a cool new way to discover new music. See, hear and be part of the new Visual MusicSponge Stage.
At the heart of it all, MusicSponge is about letting everyone see the music and to let the music speak for itself, and letting the artist speak directly to their peers. We remain committed to the independent musician and will continue to bring you the future of music.
Our goal at MusicSponge is to bring the music artist as close as possible to the music industry. As you know, we do that by providing a venue for artists to have potentially global exposure via the web.
We want the "Lake Side Cafe" to become known for affordable, vegetarian cuisine, a place where we would like to eat and relax ourselves.
We use organic ingredients where possible, supporting local sustainable farming.
We also offer a variety of classes for Inner Relaxation & Harmony, located in the same premises. See IMU.
The Lifesurfing Program
offered at the Inner Metamorphosis University, I.M.U.
includes a variety of approaches to discover and enhance a state
of vibrant, wakeful inner silence
which is the basis for inner freedom, joy and celebration.
Bhashkar Perinchery’s teachings are used as the basis for this program.
He has developed meditative exercises,
some of which are of a harmonizing nature.
Other exercises provide ways to become aware
and let go of limiting beliefs, concepts and prejudices about ourselves and others.
Muse Cafe came to fruition in September 2005. Thinking that West Town and the over-saturated, over-gentrified North side and Wicker Park needed an off the beaten path kind urban all day and night eatery/café lounge. Owners &

Muse Cafe is many things to many people...depends on who you're talking to. On one hand, we are an abstract gallery with monthly installations, an experimental venue with our series on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Depending on the nite, you might hear the finest in underground experimental IDM-electronica, an explosive set of Freee Jazz, traditional Hard Bop, an improvised eclectic ensemble, live jungle/drumNbass, an electro-acoustic jam-workshop down to live spoken word with jazz, conscious live hip-hop groups, to a poetry slam. To our regulars, we are the best coffeehouse and eatery in Chicago! Something is always going on around Muse Cafe! We not only specialize in abstract art and music, but the art of caffeine creation, contemporary cuisine, and one of the most loungy, loose vibes in town.
